About Us

Beant Singh on Beant Kaur (Jodie):

I met Beant Kaur born 1973 in Perth in Tiruvannamalai/ India in 2001. Whether it was what Indians call a "arranged marriage" maybe even by "higher forces" I don´t know. But now I look at our 3 kids and back to the last 8 years in Berlin and I have to say that it was good and it was a quite amazing journey that brought us here to Perth.
Apart from being my wife and soul mate who I love dearly, I see in Beant Kaur an incredibly powerful and empowering woman, who has integrity, wisdom, a lot of good humor, authenticity and a compassionate heart.
Soon after we met she fell in love with the Art and Science of Karam Kriya which she has studied since then. She now is a certified Karam Kriya Consultant and Kundalini Yoga teacher. Before that she studied dance for many years and also holds a bachelor of arts. Together we ran the Turiya Centre of Applied Consciousness in Berlin for almost 4 years, where she taught Yoga for women, pregnancy yoga and gave counselling on a regular basis. From what I have witnessed, it´s working with women which makes her soul shine and the women who attend her classes are full of praise for her. As her husband I also know about her sharp and cutting qualities, her intelligence as well her ability to create spaces in which healing, community and inspiration meet to form a context in which transformation can take place.
Check it out for yourself, she´s great!

Beant Kaur on Beant Singh...

Beant Singh was born in Darmstadt, South Germany, in 1965. He became a qualified Kundalini Yoga teacher in 1996, after attending his first European Kundalini Yoga festival in France where he also met his (and my) teacher Shiv Charan Singh, founder of the Karam Kriya school.
In 1999 he graduated with the Australian equivalent of a Masters in Psychology. He is also trained in systemical therapy, constellation work and psychodrama. (check out www.systemicsolutions.com.au )
As an old hat at Kundalini Yoga, he´s chalked up many an hour of meditation and held through more than a few challenging kriyas! This gives him the ability to buoy up his students in class with his enthusiastic and fiery encouragements!
As one of the first students of Karam Kriya in Germany, Beant was instrumental in bringing Shiv Charan to Berlin in the early days and lighting the torch of Karam Kriya there. His intuitive understanding of numbers and his ability to apply their wisdom astounds and inspires me again and again. I think his long experience with people of all walks of life in his work as a psychotherapist and coach has also given his naturally optimistic nature a depth and realism which he also brings to his work as a Kundalini Yoga and Karam Kriya teacher. He has an innate sense of equality and soul-friendliness and meets people just as they are. I highly recommend him... just not as a husband – he´s taken!
